Choosing a Wedding Planner

A lot of couples hope to have a smooth sailing marriage and for many, this comes true.  However, when it comes to their wedding, very few have the luxury of just sitting back and relax through the process of planning and executing, unless of course they choose to hire a wedding planner.
Why hire a wedding planner?

These days, you would often hear about brides to be who still have the time to go out with friends for drinks so close to the wedding and you cannot help but wonder how they can afford such as luxury.  It is highly likely that these very lucky, not to mention smart women decided to hire a wedding planner to take care of everything for their nuptials.

Having a wedding planner would take off the pressure because you will have a point man/woman who will supervise everything from the venue, decor, entertainment, food, theme, and even the bridal dress as well as that of the entire wedding entourage.

Hiring a great wedding planner

All that couples need to do when they have an organizer is mostly to point and choose.  Before you can reap the rewards though, you first need to do a little hunting.  As you know, although the best wedding planners are very easy to find, they are not necessarily easy to book.  Some are booked solid for five years or more which would leave you with very slim pickings.

If you really cannot land the A-list wedding planners in the city, you can still hire an equally competent and slightly more available one who can provide all that you will ever need for the wedding.

Start with those who come highly recommended by your recently married friends and/or relatives.  They get good word of mouth which means that they are great at what they do plus there is the possibility of getting a discount along the way.

Rates and Fees

You should expect that hiring a wedding planner would entail a certain amount of expense.  However, it would be well worth it because you will not have to experience the incredibly stressful process of planning for your own wedding.

You can still save a little money by comparing the rates of those whom you have shortlisted. It is very important that you have a budget that they can effectively work on so you can avoid unplanned overspending for the event.
