Wedding Locations
There is an endless choice in wedding locations that soon to be married couples can choose from but it all boils down to three things: where you want to get married, how much you can afford to spend, and how many you will invite to witness your big day.
Most weddings are held close to where the couple lives as most of their friends also live in the area and it is more convenient for them. However, if you are planning a smaller wedding, then you can also choose other more exotic locations for your wedding.
Location, location, location
- The Caribbean – Many couples prefer to be out of the country for their wedding and for those who cannot quite afford a getaway to Europe, the next best location is The Caribbean where everything is fresh and the cost is infinitely lower.
- Las Vegas – There is nothing more American than eloping in the middle of the night and going to one of the places in the country that never sleeps. Aside from the sights and sounds, there are so many other things to do in this city especially if you are looking to try your luck and stay in great hotels. It only takes a jiff to get married here and there are whimsical themes to choose from if you are the really fun type.
- Mexico – You want to be out of the country without straying too far for your wedding? Mexico offers all the comforts of the First World without being too costly. You can get married here with some of your closest friends and family in tow and you will still have enough money to spend when you get back to start living your life as a married couple.
- Hawaii – Looking for the authentic touch for your Hawaiian themed wedding? What better way to achieve this that to actually take a trip to Hawaii. There are always great airline deals so you can probably bring along a couple of friends and relatives to witness your union plus you can have a really great time down there for your honeymoon as well. This is the definition of less planning with more results.
Wedding locations are very important to decide upon early in the planning stage. It is easier to choose when you already know what kind of wedding you want, whether it is grand or low key, traditional or whimsical, etc.
Before you can move on to choosing attires and wedding decor, settle on the location/venue first and from there, build an efficiently and effectively planned wedding. Couples who have planned way ahead for the possible locations for their wedding usually have an easier time down the road when all the little details come into play.
