Considerations in Preparing for Spring Weddings

There are two main reasons why couples may choose to have their weddings during springtime. One is symbolic and the other is practical. Having a wedding in spring is symbolic because it is held during a time when the world seems to be at its freshest. Spring represents rebirth, a season after a long sleep in winter. It is when the rivers and streams flow naturally, the trees begin to grow leaves, and the flowers begin to blossom, and its most highlighted feature, the sun smiling radiantly. As nature refreshes, the human emotions also cannot help being infected with the light mood of the season. There are so many ideas for decorating and choosing themes that will fit with the spring atmosphere.

Because of these natural wonders in this season, couples love to have spring weddings. Another reason why they find it wise to hold this most important day in their romantic lives during this season is that it is more practical. Most weddings are held somewhere in summer and autumn. This is when prices of every item related to nuptial ceremonies and receptions are the highest. This is also when wedding service providers are so busy that it will be hard for them to accommodate all who wish to hire them. However, if a couple decides to have their wedding in spring, they may be able to get discounts instead.

Spring weddings are unique not just in terms of time but also in the preparations that are required. These considerations are not much different from the weddings in other seasons but it has particular characteristics in its forms, which are meant to take advantage of the season. As mentioned earlier, the refreshing sunlight is spring’s highlight. Therefore, a wedding ceremony and reception is best done outdoors. Guests will surely love the feeling of being in the sun after a long icy winter. That feeling of warmth in the midst of freshest flowers and greens will certainly make the wedding more endearing to them and to the couples.

The problem with outdoor spring weddings is that rains may come to spoil the occasion. The rain cannot be stopped but, at least, there should be tents for everybody if it does pour. The tents should be big enough to accommodate all the guests. Because these are to be used only for the wedding, it is more practical to rent these instead of buying. It is suggested that these tents should have their decorations too according to the theme of the wedding.

Since the weather can be very unpredictable during spring, the couples should make sure that theirs and the guests’ attire could be easily adjusted according to the weather. It should not be too heavy just in case it will be very warm the whole day and it should not be too light as the temperature outside can get chilly suddenly. This can be done while still being fashionable though. The couples may find it convenient to have the service of someone in the fashion industry to enlighten them with tips on this matter.

So in summary, some of the pros of having a wedding in the spring include the nice weather and more accessibility to wedding personnel. The cons are unpredictable weather, planning challenges when holding events outdoors, and sometimes it is harder for people to take vacations during the spring due to school. Overall, having a spring wedding is a great idea.
