Indoor Wedding Decor

Not all engaged couples are fond of the outdoors especially as a venue for their wedding.  Understandably, the appeal of uncertain weather conditions and the pain of preparing for all contingencies is lost on many people which is why most soon to be married couples still prefer to hold their nuptial indoors.

Putting together indoor wedding decor might not be as challenging a task as outdoor wedding decor but it is still as important to get it right.

Here are some of the most important indoor wedding decor :

Flowers- Even if you are planning for a bare minimum wedding, you would still have to spring for some flowers.  Summer weddings usually call for colorful bunches such as orchids, roses, tulips, etc.  Fall and winter weddings on the other hand would require whites and ivories.  In any case, you need to have flowers as part of indoor wedding decor.

Lights- You can have different kinds of effects using lights.  Reception halls are usually filled with lights and other decorative materials such as drapes or ribbons and whatever else is appropriate with the theme.

The red carpet- Yes, this is a wedding decor because it is definitely optional.  However, tradition dictates that every indoor wedding, even outdoors ones, have this one especially for the procession.  No need to buy one because you can easily rent it.

Ice carvings- Through the years, ice carvings have always been part of the wedding reception.  More and more designs are available to choose from ranging from the classics like cherubs, doves, and hearts, to the more eccentric ones which can be pretty much anything that they couple wants.

Choosing indoor wedding decor

In choosing which decor you will include in the ceremony as well as in the reception, always go for what is tasteful, appropriate, practical, and to your taste.

Going over the top is no longer practical these days especially since money is hard.  This does not mean that you would need to settle for mediocre decor.  It only means that you should be more open to other possibilities since there are many other ways to make the venue stunning without having to spend too much money and put in too much effort into it.
