French Country Weddings

Class all the way.  These are four words that best describe the French way of life.  These four words are also descriptive of the wedding that you might want to have if you still have not decided on which theme you are going with.

French themed weddings have some of the most stunning features and if you start thinking that it might be way beyond your budget, there is one thing that you need to consider: it would be a once in a lifetime event that you would want to immortalize as best you can.

Elements of French Country Weddings

Wedding Gown. There is nothing more french than a bridal gown which has been embroidered exquisitely that it befitting a royal princes.  Silk and chiffon might sound a little to basic but if you pick out a good color that matches your skin tone well, nothing would seem better.  The richness of the dress has to come out without necessarily out shine your bridal aura.

Wedding Cake.  Richness is the true mark of a French Country wedding cake.  Some of the best choices include croquembouche cake, fondant iced cake, toffee ganache, and triple chocolate cake.  You can also go with a simple butter cream frosted icing but have it adorned with lovely sugared daffodils.

Wedding Favors  for Guests. As much as possible, try not to put a price tag on the gifts that you would give your guests.  After all, they made concessions in order to be able to celebrate your very special day and the least that they deserve is a gift that is truly straight from your heart.  French Country weddings call for silver favors such as place card holders, exquisite photo frames, and many others.

Does the Ceremony and Reception have to be Outdoors?

If you are wondering whether the outdoor setting is a must for a French themed wedding, the answer is yes.  One of the marks of an authentic French Country wedding is that it is held outdoors, although it would not hurt to have a little back up plan in case it rains.

Spring would be the perfect time to have this type of wedding because the flowers are blooming and the skies are usually clear.  Summer is also a very good alternative but since the event has to be outside, you might want to be prepared for all contingencies as they may come.
