Preparing for Country Lodge Weddings
The single most important part of the preparation is finding the perfect spot for the wedding. There may be several country lodge houses near the city but you should book a place that would be large enough for the number of guests that you are planning to invite.
Since it would generally cost you less to have a theme like this for your wedding, you will have a little bit more to spare for the decor unless you are going bare minimum.
As for the wardrobe for the bride and groom, it is advisable not to wear anything lacy or silk especially since you will be having the ceremony outside. Plants would be everywhere so there is an awful chance that the dress will get ruined or get caught in stray branches. A nice A-line skirt for the bride topped with a tasteful looking blouse would be appropriate. As for the groom, a simple suit will be acceptable as long as the pants are of just the right length.
Country Lodge Wedding Reception
Some of the best wedding receptions are held outdoors because unlike stuffy dinner parties that have open bars, people can actually breathe, talk, and even walk around little. Your guests would appreciate not being subjected to an awfully loud zydeco band with its flaming accordion and they would definitely thank you for choosing a less formal theme.
A subtle swing band would bring more fun to the event especially if there is a designated dance floor. You will learn that it is so much better to dance the night away under the moonlight especially on your wedding.

While you are concerned about making the event as fun as possible, you also have to consider the level of safety and securing of your guests as well as yourselves. Make sure that you take the necessary precautions especially if you are far away from the city and you are not familiar with the surroundings. Request for security personal and be strict about asking for the invitations upon arrival of each guest.
